South Bay Seniors People Helping People assists many local friends and neighbors, supporting those of us who are in need.
Medical Equipment
We lend medical equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs. Our membership dues and donations are invested into medical equipment and other worthy community endeavors to aid those less fortunate.
Food
On Wednesdays PHP distributes food for those in need. Our program serves 60-80 households weekly. Distribution begins at 9:30 A.M. We have not missed a Wednesday since the 1970’s, even on holidays!
Community Events
We sponsor and host two annual major annual public fundraising events
- Needs & Wishes Holiday Fundraiser for the Homeless
- Annual Rummage Sale
Our events are all volunteer run and 100% of proceeds are donated to support the work of 40 Prado Homeless Services Center, the SLO Noor free medical clinic, and other causes that benefit our neighbors in need.
Referrals
We help put people in touch with others who can assist with tax, rental, and legal issues.
Resource Library
We stock many community resource materials from local agencies and businesses.
